-11th & 12th December

-5pm to 7:30pm

*Interbank Offered Rates (‘IBORs’)* have been in use globally as the benchmark interest rates for lending, derivatives and financial contracts. After December 2021 and IBOR will be phased out globally, leaving financial markets without its most used benchmark rate for around $350-400 trillion transactions. Finance professionals globally are closely monitoring this event unfold as they prepare for the transition.

*Why should you be aware about this?*
This change will impact your borrowings, derivative trades and financial contracts. Banks will renegotiate on the existing interest rates and derivative trades with you; use the new benchmark interest rate for lending decisions; Interbank traders will change their pricing models and risk parameters to price derivative contracts. Financial clauses in your vendor contracts and derivative contracts undergo a revision along with tax implications.

To help you understand the implications, navigate this global change and ensure that you make an informed transition, EY CAFTA is conducting a workshop on IBOR transition where a cross-functional EY teams will deliver practical insights around the challenges, impacts and considerations on various spheres of financial markets to prepare you for this transition.

This 5-hour workshop is spread over two days to discuss different impact areas for corporates, banks and financial institutions, ranging from products, models, accounting, systems, legal and taxation implications. Attend this workshop and obtain a holistic view to be a driver of change in your organisation's journey away from IBOR. The sessions are delivered by EY professionals working closely with local / global banks and corporates in their transition journey.

*Expected audience:* Professionals working in banks/ financial institution and corporates in Treasury, Risk Management, ALM, Corporate Banking, Banking systems, Legal & Tax
